Our Ancestors Live! Poem by belinda mrwebi

Our Ancestors Live!

Rating: 4.7

Amongst us and within us our ancestors live.
Their spirit surrounding and guiding us to an Africa of our dreams.
We see their trace in every triumph and victory.
Every colour displayed on the deferent flags that represent African countries.
Our ancestors live in the grains of our soil and the oceans that separate us.
They live in every ray of sunlight that heats the skin of an African child.
Our ancestors live in you and me as we carry out the teaching of our forefathers.
Our ancestors live.
Our lives are but an instrument of chants from the Gods of Azania.
Our bones are woven with the soul of the heavens to bring forth the splendour of humanity.
Within us are the treasures of culture,
In speech,
In song and in love.
Their existence is visible on sons of the soil and the daughters of Africa.
Our ancestors live!

I agree wholly with you.Our ancestors live and it is they and your brave effort that makes us believe that the spirit of the mother continent shall never be conquered. You are a magnificent poet and an adorable teller of the truth. You are gifted in you is reborn the spirit of queen Nandi and mother Manthatisi....the greatest leaders that our land has ever produced.I for one am converted to the way only you can make take pride in who we are.And since the moment permits....I offer you The Symbol Of Peace And Love And Kindness
