Ordinary Man Poem by Babalola Augustine Adeola

Ordinary Man

He called me an ordinary boy
'Cos I don't fly with wings
Nor spit fire like SANGO
Nor can I tell the future like the prophets

You call me an ordinary man.
'Cos I do not descend from Bolt
Nor do I share Messi-Naldo's blood line
Nor do I thrill like Jackson

They call me an ordinary man
'Cos I couldn't bathe in the same water as Obama
Nor the will of Idiagbon
Or the heart of the lady of Calcutta

She pulled my nose calling me an ordinary man
'Cos I could not change my leg-Benz to a Mercedes-Benz
Nor fly like the kite
Nor neither do I live on the sea with the fishes

Well! Your eyes sees an ordinary man
We all see dark sky.
But few can feel the rain.
I am ordinary man with an extra -ordinary abilities

'Cos God lives in me.
