Orange Juice Poem by Paula Glynn

Orange Juice

I taste the orange crush,
As the sunshine pours down on me,
I feel the heat of the desert,
Make me melt like ice cream,
And pulls me into a summer dream,
Where I wear faded blue jeans,
And remember what had been,
For the heat of summer is here,
Making me crave the coolness of orange juice,
And makes me kiss you,
For I have nothing to lose,
For I can taste oranges and lemons,
On your lips,
As I taste your sunshine kiss,
As we celebrate the sun,
Have plenty of summertime fun,
As we walk through the park,
And watch children play,
For it is a happy, innocent day,
Where even people at work,
Seek to walk under the wonderful sun,
People eat ice cream too,
Wearing sunglasses and flip-flops,
Orange lollies tasted on their tongues,
For the day is bright and young,
And when evening falls,
I know you shall be there for me to call,
To dream this happy dream,
Before summer turns to fall.

A romantic dream innocently lived. Nice poem.
