Opposite From You Poem by Luis Lazcano

Opposite From You

Another day, another night
Without your skin crawling up my chest.
I feel so sick, so retired
From your games getting in my head.

You define perfection,
But the nights can get cold
This story is written backwards
The ink can spill from behind.

Maybe it's better to pretend
But this words seem fake.

You were my dearest
Until this words became lottery
If this has thorn us down
Then why am I in between?

You're anything and everything
That goes through my head
And we are fools at sea.

But I still feel you
My heart beats opposite from yours...

I'm lost in crowds, mirrors speaking
Like I care anymore
And these fantasies
Can resemble me from above

Always lost in thoughts
I can thank your simplest smile
Please don't get me wrong
But I still carry your name.

But you seemed so real,
I would've done anything,
I would've done everything.

This bliss cursed my dreams
I'll Keep myself awake
Let me know when my nightmares are gone
I'll never be the same again.

But I still feel you
My heart beats opposite from yours...
