Opening Up Your Mind Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Opening Up Your Mind

Signs in heaven!
Signs in the sun,
Signs in the moon,
Signs in the stars,
And, signs on earth;
Trampled, crumpled, rumpled, sampled! !
But, iniquity kills the laws.

Depressed, pressed, expressed, impressed, dressed;
But the Sabbath is not Sunday! !
Sites, sights;
A banner for the people!
Great signs,
Fearful signs,
To follow after them.

Engaged,
Safely,
Next stop,
Bus stop,
Cast, last, mast, fast, past, vast!
it will be,
To believe it,
Theory, story, history.

Someone,
Somebody,
Anyone,
Anybody,
Somewhere,
Anywhere!
Ark, dark, park, bark, lark, Mark, cark, Clark, hark, nark;
And like the beautiful stones in the land of your muse.

Love and peace!
Like a widow's mite;
To swim along,
To swing along,
To play along,
Escape, cape, ape, drape, nape, shape, rape, tape! !

All the time,
From the roots,
Right in the sky!
Right in the clouds! !
But, this poem is now openeing up your mind.
