Open Your Eyes Poem by Angelo H.G.

Open Your Eyes

Rating: 2.7

I fell from the path that was once my road
tumbling down the hill in a hole I rolled
though light remained
I shut my eyes and believed only darkness I gained
truth was hidden from my face
passion escaped my grace
oh I wondered how my freedom was a waste
my soul seemed to be misplaced
loneliness crept in like a thief at night
the days became impolite
I tried to climb but diligence was not my friend
hope, my dear heart started to suspend
eyes still shut like heaven gates to evil doers
sitting on the thrown like emperors
but minus the thrown, then just sitting
at this era death seemed to be fitting
suddenly my wisdom screamed, ''open your eyes foolish one! '
my eyes flashed the steps up and on
back to the path I flew like a bird or a bee
this is my tale and you laugh at me?
well how many times have you fallen losing sight of the skies
and could not see hope or freedom?
well mocking one, check your true vision and open your eyes
and check your doubting beliefs for they are lies!
Open your eyes, Open your eyes
