Open Letter To My Daughter Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Open Letter To My Daughter

Rating: 5.0

Let me take away your pain
Holding you in these arms again
Protecting
Never rejecting
Nothing you do is so bad
Many a good time and laugh we have had
I will not condemn your foolish acts
Know you well, knowing all the facts
Watched the tears you shed
Heard you crying there alone in bed
Daughter of mine
Everything will turn out fine
Do not hide away in despair
Loving you more than my own life
I am always here, and you know I care
You are the angel that is in my life

A parents heart, which is pained by the pain of its child. A universal poem appealing both to the parent and child in our heart.
