Open Dialogue (Left Under The Table) Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Open Dialogue (Left Under The Table)

If no one is willing,
To participate in open dialogue
But all invited to sit and pick
From a diverse menu suggested,
With their opinions...
Needed from each to recommend.
Why would anyone,
Accuse the table...
As not being positioned,
In the right place...
To inspire conversation.

There has to be 'something'...
Hidden under the table,
Someone fears...
Mentioned to be talked about.
