Only You Poem by Eric Adams

Only You

i remember a dream of you and me smiling as the day goes by
sunshine raining gumdrops kisses as the moonlight hours past me by
i remember as if it was yesterday the day i saw your face
smiling at me showing all kinds of love and it made me warm inside
until that fateful day when hell broke lose and all was gone
you left my side and I left yours but that wasn't the last I've seen of you
we fell short of his glory lost at hand and all alone but that wasn't the last
I've seen of you
all confused of what he planed blind in every way
wondering what his will may do
and in that faithful hour gone ho be hold everything came to place
u left him n i left her and it only took just a bit of time
we saw are love unfold day by day night by night
coming closer and closer to the knowledge we know
the sun rises as are eyes open we began to see love eternal
lost in the love you show me now drunk in clenching embrace
you daze away in our memory n you realize its to be
we say are truth and embrace are love
be hold its as its to be
so in the end i have less to say
but say as is as i say
baby i love you forever n ever never to let u go
shall love lead are ways to cross then i shall be where u want
but last to say
i know your mine as i yours
as life is time and death is eternal
shall i, i shall be the one standing eternally
