Only Route She Can'T Follow You In Poem by Amelia Murray

Only Route She Can'T Follow You In

My energy is running out
I want to run outside, look up at the heavens and shout.
All these feelings inside are causing terrible doubts.
I fall to the ground by your sickening layout.
I am ready to pull out.
I am all worn out.
How do I go on without -
without you always ready to carry me out.
This is my last internal scout.

I will always remember the devout.
Her grey hair covering her scalp throughout.
Her determination strong enough to never bailout.
Always taking care of that waterspout,
The waterspout you gave grandma after her time-out.
She laughed and urged you to try-out.
She loved you even after the breakout.
Always supported you on either route,
but she can't follow you in your eternal drought.

That is the one out.
The only one she can't reroute.
