Only One Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Only One

Only one

Give me gun
And order
Only one
“Kill mankind”
(This devil)
(Only one.)

Everywhere where pain is one can see the man’s name
Trees cut
Deep in Earth the claws
Rivers, lakes and oceans, either fade or change shape
And patches on the land, in space and sky
Concrete and asphalt
Even the antennas
Call them names

I believe
This devil needs going forever
Then comes peace
Bear will eat
And the bees
Buffalo has water and green
And rhino, elephant
In water fish and eels
And frogs and prawns
In the heights observe kings
The eagles racing high
The condors and ravens and crows
With the doves

Heaven comes
If man goes,
This devil
Only one.
