Only In The Sunlight Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

Only In The Sunlight

You're always alone
You never sing with the choir
Or play in the snow
You fear the silence
Yet you live in it
Only in the sunlight

You're never alone
You can't be
That's impossible
I'm there with you
But only in the sunlight

Dark as night
Silent as the grave
Mimicking your every move and gesture with mocking ease and grace
But still wouldn't you be worried if I was absent
And besides, I'm only there in the sunlight

And though you can't shake me
You're comforted at my presence
I make you feel less alone
But only in the sunlight
