and tinged with some aggression
with top of the charts postings;
and it’s all democratic
vote-bartering included
and with ratings from 1 to 10;
poetry begs
number of clicks
and poets master
publicity stunts
and scratch-back
love affairs;
but let us not
be hasty and
frown
on this
for poets before cyberspace
be it Homer or Tu Fu
or Kalidas
were probably as human
as their online descendents
