One Way Ticket Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

One Way Ticket

One way ticket

I guess I won’t cry
I shall not
I must not
I as one, am happy
“You’re welcome.”

I talk to, those on ship…
Immigrants, refugees…
Truly; escapees…
Of the wars of imposed
Internal, external and egos…

Why should I?
How can I?
I? Cry?
No, never
Not ever

Congrats my friends…
Living life is a shame
Among the shit devils
In this world of unfair
Congrats, you are gone

Pain ended with your death
With you peace; no grave
Go relax as unknown
Don’t even think of world
I too want my ticket…
