One Thing Poem by Singleton M. Tate

One Thing

In times like these...

Finding a companion
is like walking on water...

Having true friends
is like building a
million dollar house...

Money was caught
after he ran from the
one needing him to pay...

Time ran out after
he tuned into his
own reality show...

Truth got blind-sided
by a shadow of doubt...

Doing right got lost
while going down
the wrong way...

Finding your destiny
was taken hostage
by mistaken identity...

Knowing what to do
is like being born
again...

Climbing every
mountain is like
being suspended
from Heaven...

Having a point
of view is like
being a murder...
