One Sweet Dream2 Poem by Robert Sheridan

One Sweet Dream2

A place where the most beautiful
thing in the world can be seen &
touched; it's like magic, but not
slight of hand;
A place where a pledge is made
to someone else, & smiles fall
upon you like sweet summer rain;
A place where patience is bitter,
but bears sweet fruit;
A place where you care about
another, but never too much;
A place where you can be
yourself because no one else
is watching;
A place where you don't have
to play by the rules, because
you forget the rules & play by
your heart;
A place where it's one long
verse - no sacrifices, no risks;
And then, you wake-up, but
the one sweet dream never ends.
