I wrote down a small wish
And placed it inside a jar
I threw it in with the fish
And watched the waves carry it far
Inside the jar it did stay
Nice and safe and dry
From prying eyes it was away
Carrying my tears and my lies
For the wish I had written
Was never meant to be read
It was a way of biting when I was bitten
A way to rid what was in my head
I pray you’ll never see
For on it are my crimes
I hope you head my plea
Like you’ve done the other times
