One Small Victory



just one small victory
comes from the ant
winning the bid
in carrying this crumb
of bread
sans feeling
of love or liking
for the Queen

in the name of the Kingdom
the anthill
shall celebrate

it will be a holiday today
the soldier ants
in laxity
