One Pearl Floats Alone Poem by Patricia Kelley

One Pearl Floats Alone

Pearls floating like banners.
To reach the hand of my lover.
Followed by lonely enchanters.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Ribbons of lace are midnight's quest.
Upon my breast,
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Hearts journey to autumn's leisure.
Winter begins its seizure.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
One pearl floats alone
in the quiet mist of a thousand pearls.
One heart groans.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
One man sets out upon a quest looking for the right
pearl to facet to her finger.
