One Ninety Year Old Couple. Poem by Toshie Nohara

Every morning
one ninety year old couple
holding hands
still whisper tenderly
'I love you ' into their
ear-phones
then smiling at each other
enjoy breakfast together
An hour later
watch the little birds
in the garden singing merrily
to usher the new day.

God bless them for their
faithfulness
May their hearts be filled
with happiness.

Oh, I do wish and pray
life can be as simple and
lovely as theirs.
