One More Long Night Poem by Kathryn Kubacki

One More Long Night

Broken hope
Fading luster
Rotten wood
Foggy glass

Loveless stare
One last try
Before we quit

Red speckled razor
Blood filled tub

Warm tears run down her face
Bruises sting with satisfaction
Satisfaction from pain

Empty bottle
Shards of glass
They both knew
It wouldn't last

Lonely island
Hallowed halls
One last shot
Before we fall
