One More Day I Say Poem by Wilfred Mellers

One More Day I Say

One More Day

In my room compromised
Thoughts unwise
Contemplation of my demise
Angles cries and tears filled my eyes

True feelings disguised
Struggling after many tries
Hopes circumcised
Then I realize

People come and they go
So much they don't know
Lesson left to bestow
For daisies will always grow

No matter how much I hope and pray
I still live to see another day
So here I stay come what may
Even if I just spend one more day

Your poem sounds very familure to me, there was a time when I wasn't sure I could 'just spend one more day.' But I survived and today life is good. I look forward to reading many more of your poems. In line 10, should People come and the go be read as People come and they go?
