One Day At A Time Poem by Paul Sebastian

One Day At A Time

Rating: 5.0

Wavering feet as burden load weigh me down
If I stumble and fall, staggering the extra mile
Lift me up, Lord, to fight one more round
All I ask, Lord: Help me make one day at a time!

Climbing steep mount, braving every step
Your strength alone is sufficient for my climb
Your strength, assured through your precepts
Lord, help me make my steps, one day at a time!

I testify before men works of your saving help
I called, you quickly answered, in perfect time
Faith alive, totally relying on you, I peacefully slept
Lord, teach me your ways, one day at a time!

My eyes on you, even in storm, I will not sink
My burden you made light, you rest me fine
Your love fills each day, even as my days brink
Keep my faith up, Lord, one day at a time!

I wake to each day you give
To make my best to live
To see you working in me
On earth for your glory to be

'Give us this day our daily bread'..... The Lord taught us to ask only for a day... today! Each day when we ask, He will give..... this is our faith! My eyes on you, even in storm, I will not sink My burden you made light, you rest me fine Your love fills each day, even as my days brink Keep my faith up, Lord, one day at a time! ............... Beautiful lines! Beautiful prayer!

A righteous heart full of faith for the lord is blessed with not only the peace of mind in life but with the strength to face adversities should they cross our path. The poem reaffirms the invisible power of our faith in the Almighty. Thanks for sharing it Paul.
