One Day Poem by Amanda Austin

I start out asking myself
Why I let you do this to me,
and I always end up answering
'Because one day I think it will be worth it'

I can't explain the way my
Feelings are mixed,
Just as I can't describe how
Much love and distaste I feel for you

But I can acknowledge
That there is a reason for
Everything and that it's not just for nothing

So as my mind wraps
Around the question I
always ask myself,
I smile because I know one day it will all be okay
