One Again Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

One Again

One again

India, Pakistan to lands of Persia
Everywhere to Ganjeh
Homes to birth, growth, calm
Of Gazal, Qasideh and Khayyam
All poems in Persian
Now sliced into parts;
Each has a Capital.

What a shame!

I need wool and cotton or mohair
With Gandhi’s spin wheel
To make rope and thread.

Come help me to sew them
For making ‘one; again’.
