Once Bitten Poem by Na. Kwaati

Once Bitten

Rating: 4.8

I was told, I did not listen.
So many answers, yet no question.
For some, life is a prison.
Because it's as dangerous as a death mission.
I was young, but now I'm old.
And I'm feeling cold.
Wish I could turn back time.
My mind as dark as an ancient abandoned mine.
All those memories have cast into the past.
Who knew could fly by so fast?
Its like I have been hit.
And pushed into a bottomless pit.
This heart is engulfed with sorrow.
Still awaiting light tomorrow

An insight depiction of life at its deplorable low ebb, well articulated and nicely penned in good diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Adam.
