On The Hour Poem by Holly Moon

On The Hour

Here I'm sitting
Waiting for the changing of the hour
2: 59 and counting
The last Sunday of October
Brings with it, the end of daylight saving hour
The clock is ticking
And voilà I see it
It's now 2: 00
I'm a witness, to going back in time
The first time in my life
And I'm 52
I've gained an hour
Which I can use
Not sleeping through it
I'm actually writing scribbles
Living it, not dreaming through it.
