I am standing on the edge
On the edge of a cliff

My future
Hanging on a silk tread

By something that just happened
A thing that was just there

From one day to another
It appeared

I did not feel pain
But it was there and bothered me

Not only I could see
Both my doctor and me did see
Something that did not belong there

He decided surgery was for the best
That and some other test

Just to make sure
That it would not come back any more

Test results
Were no good

Bad news
No luck

So now I know
That you should enjoy life

Even the bad sides
When you get the news
That you have got not long to live

And that living your life
Is all there is to give
