On The Desert Plain Poem by Dominic George

On The Desert Plain

We're cruising through the desert
Where many set eye for the oasis
And countless times have we stumbled our feet
Though sometimes reap delicious dates

Beneath the sand is precious gold
Plentifully either in black or yellow
Thus some would venture bold
To dig the treasure for wealth to grow

Yet we often forget we're just cruising
Through the vast sand laid by God
It's merely a vessel to keep us running
Before we shall face He who is Might

How pitiful many had been fooled
By voluptuous and tricky sand
Know that exist is hell inferno
Where souls see the Face of God no more
