On Taking Your Clothes Out Of The Washing Machine Poem by Phil Lucas

On Taking Your Clothes Out Of The Washing Machine

So tiny
these soggy clothes I take out of the machine
and lightly hang up to dry.
Comic it would be,
were it not be for their fragility
and how each tiny piece of cloth
makes me weep
for my selfishness.
