On My Way Poem by Holly Jamestone

On My Way

No hackneyed visions, vacant eyes
Jagged shorelines, compromise
No broken memories, shattered dreams
Cracks to mend or threadbare seams

Just rainbows through these copper eyes
Blue-green tides ‘neath azure skies
Crisp September, crimson fall
Citrus backdrop says it all

On my way, no stopping me
No regrets, as I am free
On my way, I see the sun
Warmth, compassion meld to one

On my way, my year fulfilled
Sand and surf from which to build
On my way, the glory years
Sun that warms and dries my tears

No riptides overwhelm my way
Nor seaweed stranglehold today
No troubled waters, murky deep
Just pure contentment mine to keep

With rainbows through these copper eyes
Blue oasis, sunlit skies
Crisp September, crimson fall
Citrus backdrop says it all

On my way, no stopping me
Ocean's shoreline sets me free
On my way, with life in hand
Rainbowed prisms, here I stand
