On My Own Poem by Maya Hanson

On My Own

Rating: 5.0

I watch
I watch you leave
My heart, it's breaking
And I know
I know I'm on my own

And where will you go next?
Another city, a different place
And where will I be then?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I usually don't write anything for 'this poem's story' because frankly I have no idea how I come up with most of this stuff. But for this one, I just have to say...it's unusually short for me. I usually have to have at least three verses and a chorus and a part B...you know. It's just weird.
