On Judgement Day Poem by Leonard McGee

On Judgement Day

My mother did not pray for us children
Or answer questions after explaining
Fools die long before learning value for life
Comes only after wisdom has been earned
In accordance with testaments good books teach
When students gain the knowledge between lines
Marched in to separate good ways and evil means
Both serve to accomplish the will of God
On the wide paths, crossing the narrow streets
Cleaned by the hands of time on judgment day
