On Bended Knees

If You are God and You are there
And truly died for me
Then answer please this sinner’s prayer
Please come and set me free

If You are God and if You’re real
If Christ is truly Lord
Then answer please this child’s appeal
Come save me from the sword

If You are God then help me please
Forgive my foolish past
Allow me here on bended knees
Receive true peace at last

If You are God, remove my doubt
Give faith, give eyes to see
Reveal what life is all about
And why death has to be

If You are God then all is well
The Bible must be true
The stings have gone from death and hell
For those who’ll trust in You

If You are God please cleanse my soul
Make pure my shameful heart
Humble my spirit, make me whole
And grant a brand new start

If You are God then please pursue
This lamb that’s gone astray
Carry me home to live with you
Forever and a day

If You are God of truth and grace
Father with endless love
Prepare me too a resting place
With Christ enthroned above
