On And On Poem by moon dust

On And On

Long road has brought us home
Back to places that we know
And fall has met us here
As he has many times before
Long road has brought us home

We've traveled endless miles
Shared an Arizona sunset and a bottle of beer
Walked the mountains in New Mexico
Danced across the Texas line
Long road has brought us home
As it has many times

And I can still taste the Tennessee morning
Rolling hills all wet with dawn
And the Oklahoma highway prairie grass blowing
We rolled on and on
Till the road brought us home.
