On A Faraway Star Poem by Don MacIver

On A Faraway Star

A simple love poem…

Our fly away dreams upon distant stars
Touch the heavens in darkness ever so
Gently, as whispered lovers' romancing
We dance the romance from near and afar

In the silence of infinite space our
Heart sounds transcending love everlast
Our gaze soaring galaxies, starlight's guide
A passionate kiss upon midnight hour

The planets drift by and the sun would rise
As darkness would yield to dawn's early light
Our embrace would in time to the music play
A song all our own in night's dawning day

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Romantic poetry is forever a favourite and I often like to create a mystical, dreamlike essence for the reader, as so with this submission.
