Oldest Companion

The oldest wooden radio
Hangs still in ours kitchen -
Grandmother's companion-
Eternally cheerful and then...

Morning Hymn, Morning live
And then so hottest- news...
same concert, same intermezzo...
Lasts - deadly - interview...

Always are the sensible
Brave also attentive
Speaks, sings, again speaks,
Sings.. always picks...

.. Sounds go , of homy rapper
Speaks, sings, again speaks, now
Grandmother continued the rap
You think that she is tired? ow, no...

Speaks, sings, speaks,
The rhythm continues by step...
The oldest, so oldest radio
Hangs still in ours kitchen...

Tsira, with all the modern gadgets available I still have a soft spot for the old radio myself. I like this. Top marks and thanks for sharing it with us. Hugs David

We too have a radio with FM facility near our kitchen to do the jobs you have mentioned in your beautiful poem! Cultural similarity between us is incredible as far as this radio matter is concerned!

Wonderful writing here, love the sounds you've described emanating from it..so many sounds from one single box, it's a miracle. Eternally cheerful, sums it up perfectly.
