Old Flame Poem by Alfred Ramos

Old Flame

She was like a candle in the wind
The flame danced wildly
Naughty shadows in forgotten light
A fever pitch howling grabs hold
Snuffing out what sanity was left
My desires melted, dripped down my chin
Taste buds raw from inhaling you
Eventually my cup was filled
With darkness and despair
Through many a nightmare
An old flame is relit
