Old Age keeps knocking at my door
But I try not to let him in.
I'm not young like I was before;
One day I'll lose and he will win.
Agree with Bri Edwards. Thanks for inviting me to read this poem. Enjoyed it. Perhaps, I am older than you. Yet, old age and death are the last two things I want to entertain. Or is that just wishful thinking? Am not sure. I would invite you to my poems To Death and End Of The World, if you have time. Thanks again and great regards.
You older than I am? I doubt it. Not many poets on this site are older than I am. I have two married granddaughters, but so far I'm only a grandfather and not a great-grandfather.
My sister is 92 and still active in Duncan Bro Doug passed away at 88 which is now my present age Getting around pretty good but have to avoid cold arctic air I am not the oldest in our condo at least two older and both still driving which I am not. simplistic poem but welcome little missive looking forward to more lims which are my thing I shall search you more
