Oh Where The Independence Poem by Soni Mirchandani

Oh Where The Independence

Rating: 5.0

Today 15th August, Day of patriotism
Independence from of British rule,
Oh! Where is the Independence I say
With crime rate still the same,
Commodities still expensive,
Poor still poor,
Oh! Where the Independence I say.

Corruption still high,
Women not safe
Blood still going waste
People running for their lives
Everybody in a haste,
Oh! Where is the Independence I say.

Ministers home full money,
Poor still longing for a drop of honey,
Make me feel that Independence still in thoughts,
But practically we are still lost,
Oh! Where is the Independence I say.

City of Gods, Hardwar
People die in thousands at the call of nature,
But no humanity left for that child,
who cries whole day,
Oh! Where the Independence I say.

Lets think about the blood shed,
given by our Leaders
was it to see this day,
Oh Where is the independence I say.
Get up you people from sleep,
Generation today please make a way,
Other wise there will come a day,
When only I will have to say,
Oh! Where is the independence I say.
