Oh...What Bliss Poem by derrick foster

Oh...What Bliss

Hearing that song that you love for the first time
Eating a meal that fills you to the gills
Curled in a blanket watching your favorite marathon
Watching kids play and remembering when
Looking at clouds and seeing fun images
Retreating into imagination and smiling
Dancing as if no one else is watching and feeling free
Looking into the eyes of your lover and falling all over again
Meeting someone that will be a friend for life
Walking in rain with abandon and not caring about getting wet
When your heart fills as if it will burst and feeling good inside
Riding in a car reading signs along the way
Jumping into leaves during fall and feeling youthful
Making snow angels after first snow fall
Sledding down steep hills on cardboard
Flipping onto mattresses on a warm summer day
Hearing French horns as the symphony swells to crescendo
Oh what bliss to breathe in life with every experience ahead
