Oh Sparkling Lily Poem by Tosin Abegunde

Oh Sparkling Lily

Housed in the brook like fish
Gathering in rows like army
In conformity slowly I reach
To sing praises of this in Miami
In the crusade of experience
Where in solitude I'd recount
An evergreen tie of reference
When then no hill to mount.

The past with speed to feature
When on sofa patiently I lay
On the screen of my future
Overtaking all, without delay
My fears I wash away willingly
And i rejoice with the lily.
