Oh, Sorrow Sally Poem by Anderson Green

Oh, Sorrow Sally

Rating: 4.5

Oh, Sorrow Sally
she was alone
had nothing left
questions
'Why so soon? '

Oh, Sorrow Sally
only thing she wanted was her mommy
she will never forget
all time that was spent

Oh, Sorrow Sally
walking in the middle of the road
car went through, never moved
saw lights flashing, RED and BLUE
questions
'Why so soon? '
no one could hear

Oh, Sorrow Sally
she cannot remember mommy or daddy
cannot remember that day in June
looking back, saying
'Bye Mommy, Bye Daddy'
she looks around

Oh, Sorrow Sally
staring at her feet
tears came and cries
yells
'Why, Oh, Why! '

Oh, Sorrow Sally

A poem of lamentation, well articulated and nicely penned to capture the grief felt in the inner chambers of the heart. A lovely piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
