Oh Poetry, Oh Poetry Poem by Joseph Oladehinde Ibikunle

Oh Poetry, Oh Poetry

A pen and a tablet
Words explored in a leaflet.
Oh poetry, oh poetry!
.
Like the falling summer foliage
Gentle, as the winter snow cascade.
Oh poetry, oh poetry!
.
My heart strikes in agony
For them that can not see your beauty.
Oh poetry, oh poetry!
.
The heavenly hymns the angels chant
All affairs so perfectly trenchant.
Oh poetry, oh poetry!
.
A sedative to my haunted soul
Libation of words poured out of a bowl.
Oh poetry, oh poetry!
.
