Oh If Only Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Oh If Only

Said,
How many times in a life time/
Stack them high and I
Won't deny my 'If Only'
Could reach the sky!

What about yours,
have you said this too
How many 'If Only'
Look back at you
One, two, three, four
Come on, out with it,
There must be more!

Make a list,
What will go first
OH IF ONLY, I had...
Does it make you sad
Or just glad it's all behind you.
What if only reminds you,
You didn't and that's that!
So stop envying the other guy
Who bought the hat or the one
Who took off running while
You sat and wondered,
What could have happened if only...
