Oh Hater Poem by Maureen Alikor

Oh Hater

My legs
knotted in ties
refuse to walk
this journey of hate
brewing withing
the deep embers of
your dark soul.

I rise above
hate swimming in
the tide it brings
as I float on unaided
but clad in sheer forgiveness.

Seek me not
to fight this hate
battle with you
for you shall not win
and am no party to
hate battles.

Hate not my hate
for hate battles
I've seen so much
love to make make room
for one case of hate.

I bleed love
and hate it washed ashore
when I sat across
that purple light
that illuminated my
heart years ago.

Hate has no room
here,
gone and buried
she is.

One, I wish not to excavate
for she proves better
dead than alive.
