Oh Face Of Yesterday #2 Poem by Heather Burns

Oh Face Of Yesterday #2

Oh face of
yesterday
for a brief
time
you nestled
beside me.

Being
caught up
in the
moment by
your
presence.

I bathed in
your sweet
perfume
so delightful
a fragrance.

Drank from
your silver
goblet
of precious
nectar.

Oh face of
yesterday!
your flavor
remains in
my mouth.

A tasteful
syrup of
youth
filling my
day-dreams
with burning
desires.
