Oggie's Park Poem by Richard D Remler

Oggie's Park

......

In Oggie's Park
Just after dark
A long eared owl
Spies the gray...
As whispers rustle
Dying leaves,
Like shadow children
Out at play.

In Oggie's Park
The statues scowl,
The moonlight waning
Ever low.
Enough to bring
A long eared owl
To leave his foot prints
In the snow.

Shadows grow
Long and gray...
As early Springtime
Breezes through,
Across the ice
Where Winter's left
Her touch of frost
Within the dew.

And all the saintly
Specter's sneak
Just outside to have
A peek ~
As Springtime stretches
Out her hand
To paint some green
Across the land.
And brighten up
The quiet dark
Of lazy March
In Oggie's Park.
