Off The Hook Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Off The Hook

Off the hook

"Hook, Hook, Hook"
Said a fish to other
Sounded like complains; they conversed:
-They fool us with a worm…
-Fools we are, fall for them with trust…
-No! No! No! We are just hungry…
-And of course we are bags, of greed…
-I agree…and also…
-Also kind…and childish…

Suddenly came a sound
A fish talked…whined with shout:
-Better hook than off hook…
Fish was wrapped in a foil in oven.
-Look at me off the hook…

-Life is jail
-Death torture.
