Of Your Ugly Battles Poem by Sadiqullah Khan

Of Your Ugly Battles

Rating: 5.0

General, no more recount, spill ugliness;
Bury the past, of your methods
Let the curse, one eyed dajjal, not return,
Let not the fear, haunt the hearts.

-The French General Paul Aussaresses (1918 -2013) , who admitted to executions and torture
in Algerian independence war, five decades ago.

He passed away two days before Madiba did. The freedom fighter and the slaughterer died at the same age! But how can the two compare. History shall be the judge.
